It’s ridiculously muggy here in Kansas and I have hyperactive sweat glands. Jolly good. And the place I work for mandates full-length pants until next month because of arbitrary reasons, yet it is 15 degrees hotter in the service department than it is outside, so tomorrow I’m gonna say fuck their dress code until they can make it livable in this shithole, as if that ‘rule’ ever made any damn sense to begin with.

As a fellow sweaty slob, I feel your pain. I can’t stand it when it’s super humid out, I always end up looking like I just ran a marathon when all I did was walk for 3 minutes.
But oh, how the tables turn in hot, dry weather! ...too bad I live in a swamp.

I’m with ya. I sweat like the fat old man I am, and the HVAC here at work shat the bed like 3 years ago. I work in an engineering cube farm for one of the Big Three, which means dress shirts, long pants, hours of sitting still,no windows, no airflow, and tons of computers all making teh mad watts. We have actually built a small data acquisition system to log ambient temps in the office and often record between 85 and 90 degrees before the day is out. For an industry that’s so hell-bent on painting itself in an ecologically responsible light, this company sure doesn’t seem to have any problem with spending the energy to heat an office building when it’s 80 degrees outside.

you speak of? It snowed here this morning. Snow! I had to to de-ice my car when I went to work yesterday, which is something I didn’t have to do more than a handful of times this winter. Insane for the time of year. It’s colder than during last Christmas. No joke!

Funny thing, weather. I was in Italy a couple of weeks ago. It was only in the mid-twenties so people dressed for winter with padded jackets and sometimes scarves while your correspondent was in a t shirt..
Warm weather starts with a 3 there.

I know those feels. Currently 84*F in VA and we have no AC or ventilation back here in Parts. Company policy says no shorts until after Memorial Day but if it stays this hot for the next month you bet I’m going full rebel and wearing shorts.
